Hi,

I came across your posting and found it interesting, and I'm reaching out to you in hopes of you being able to help or point me in the right direction.

I'm assembling a report on the Automotive Brand Loyalty w/in the USA.  I'm finding it very hard to located market share data for the United States and for each state.  I'm basically trying to find the breakdown of automotive cars for each state (primarily California) and the US as a whole.  I'm running into a lot of "pay sites" which can be costly, so I'm hoping someone may have a lead on this data.

An example would look something like this (text and bar charts):

California:
22% GM
19% Toyota
17% Honda
15% Ford
12% Daimler Chrysler
11% BMW
2%  Mazda
1%  Mitsubishi
1%  Misc (Porsche, Hyundai, Daweoo, Yugo, VW)

Michigan (2006):  (2005)  (2004)
25% GM
22% Ford
20% Daimler Chrysler
6%  Toyota
6%  Honda
5%  VW
5%  BMW
4%  Mazda
3%  Mitsubishi
3%  Nissan

So do you guys get a better understanding of what I'm looking for?  This data is not accessible nor is it easy to locate.  Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Chris
