i have replaced the distibutor, duel pump and fuel filters. ignintion coil. i am getting spark and i can feel fuel blowing from the injectors. andy ideada on why it wont start?

Did it start before all of this? Was the engine recently rebuilt? I would check the firing order again and if it's an HEI distributor, I'd pull it back out, make sure the #1 cylinder is on compression stroke, line the rotar button up with the #1 cylinder, and try all over again. If it has been rebuilt recently, I'd pull the valve covers and loosen the valves a little bit. Other than that, it should start.

Not sure but it could be that the timing chain jumped.

what was the original problem that led to all the parts changing? Does it backfire or just crank over?
