I have had this truck for 15 years. It has 218,000 mi on it and I have done all the service to it. I have new rear brake cylinders and shoes, new front pads and rebuilt calipers, new master cylinder, new proportioning valve, new rubber hoses, new drums and rotors, master properly bench bled, brake lines properly bled with no leaks, vacuum booster holds vacuum. With the engine off I have a 1/3 pedal compression and tight, when the engine turns on, I loose 1/3 pedal and under hard braking goes almost to the floor. All the brakes actuate and hold but there is no emergency stopping. Rear brakes adjusted to a light drag, parking brake adjusted to 3/4 pull. Any thoughts?

Is it an truly new master cylinder or a rebuilt one. I've had many problems with rebuilt units not being rebuilt properly. If it is a rebuilt unit remove it and dissemble the darn thing buy removing the clip holding in the cylinder and inspect the bore. Chances are that it wasn't honed out right and has many deep scars and scrapes in it.
Let me know if this helps out....JEEP GOD
