I'm shopping for G35 coupe. Test drove tonight. Sweeeeeeeeet...except for 1 thing. My butt hurts. I'm only 5' 9" & my wife is 5' 1". The seats were really confining...almost too small by the upper thigh.  What am I missing. Is this the problem I never expected???  

its all relative.  when looking for a performance oriented car, there are usually some sacrifices.  ie tight seating, little truck space, usually poor gas mileage, stiff ride, etc etc.  not all these are relative to the g35, but some are.  seats being used on newer sports car are beginning to become more and more like racing seats which try to keep you planted during hard driving, but if they are overly uncomfortable to a certain point, maybe you should keep searching.  

One thing I really don't like about Infiniti G35 seats is that they have the adjustment button ON the seats!? Smart Infiniti!  

Is the seat too small?
Perhaps we are looking at this in the wrong light?  

good to see your posting again.  The seats hug you for obvious sports related reasons.  I guess it depends on how wide you are.  But im gonna go ahead and agree with you because of my dislike of these cars, chalk that up as one more crappy thing about the g35.  

I am 6'3" and bought a 2006 g35 coupe in march and have been looking for a way to modify my driver's seat so I could remove the seat controls. I don't think the seat is to small, it just doesn't have any give in it because the controls. I have been looking for a used seat to modify.  

A couple of my buddies own G35s and love them - sporty ride, fun to drive, kinda boring interior but overall great experiences. Never head complaints about the seats though...
