i recently put a rebuilt motor out of an 81 chevy truck. (just drilled out the center intake bolts). i have replaced plugs, wires, cap rotor, electronic spark module, EGR valve, fuel filter, oxygen sensor, throttle positioning sensor, throttle body gasket. checked the catalytic converter tested good. It runs ok at an idle. but when i am under the hood and give it gas i hear the secondaries kick in but doesn't seem to rev any higher, it boggs. the same goes as driving except it struggles to get to speed but if i work the throttle right i dont piss anyone off behind me. when i stomp on it and hold it there for a bit it does not want to go but as soon as i let off it a bit it seems to pick up again. i think it is because it is starving fo fuel when the secondaries kick in also everytime it shifts gears then it boggs again. i am leaning on injectors or fuel pump but not to sure i am going to do a fuel pressure test any other info would be appreciated

check the ground strap between the engine and frame and the frame and body. it is on the right side of the engine and should be attached to the ehxaust manifold bolt

i do have a ground from the frame to body but as far as the ground strap from motor to frame i don't see one it should be a 1 or so inch flat braided strap right. also i went to checker and checked my codes again and it says the electronic spark control modgule has failed could this be cause by the distributor being off a tooth or two. the modgule was brand new about 100 miles or so ago the wire that is comin off the coil to the modgule has no slack in it once so ever should the modgule be pointed slightly more towards the right instead of directly straight back thanks sean
