'99 Ford Taurus 3.0 developed a misfire P0302 and plugs, wires, coil pack, ect. were replaced. Compression test done and 10 psi on that cylinder causing it not to fire. I used engine restore additive but doesn't look good so far. I've had older mechanics swear by a product that made older engines run smoother that came in the form of pellets to put in the spark plug hole which adds to the cylinder wall and rings. I'm just trying to keep this car alive for long as possible and would have it fixed or get a new one if I had the cash. I've tried every local autoparts stores and only one person even knew what I was talking about but hasn't seen them. Does anyone know where I can find this or a similar product? Thanks.

10psi is bad. I would do a leak down test to first see where your problem is coming from. Then decide what needs to be done in order to seal the chamber.

Yeah I know it's pretty bad. My buddy said his unkle might have a leak down test. If it's the rings/cylinder wall what can I use to help seal it up so it will last a little longer or until I can afford to rebuild it? Thanks for your input.

that kind of stuff MIGHT improve WEAK compression but 10 psi is no compression. you have a burnt valve and no mechanic in a can is going to fix that

If it is a valve, there nothing you can do for a temporary seal.
