Well my brake problems seems like an endless one, leaving me clueless and researching nonstop. My brake pedals are soft when I press it and when I have to stop short I would have to press the pedal pretty much all the way down. Now the thing is I have brand new Acura OEM pedals, which I just recently got ripped off by the dealers doing and plus I must have had the Brake lines bled around 3 times in the past few months, one of the times was by the Acura dealer also. Now the problem is everytime the lines are bled it becomes soft in like 2 weeks or so and so far the only thing I have replaced was the Master Brake Cylinder and also new pads along with resurfacing the rotors. I've only been told by the mechanic I went to that maybe its my ABS modulator but thats a maybe, which is an expensive maybe if i tried it. I figured I post up my problem before I start getting ripped off even more going from one problem to another and being some what of a car noob all I can do is just research and try to understand and comprehend other pplz posts. So im stuck at square one and alittle ticked off I ve spent quite a decent amount of money and not getting anything fixed  ...Sorry for the long post by the way, its just that I cant give up trying to fix this problem because its on my mind all day long. I d be happy if anyone can sort of guide me into the right directions thanx.

P.S one of the symptons is this

- Pedal feels mushy a low speeds. Double pump tend sot help a little

cheap and probable non causes....but worth entertaining at the least.  Check for a leak in your lines.. at any connection point between the master cylinder/ abs module.   Check for vacuum leaks in any of your hoses/ brake booster hoses.  check to see if your brake reservoir cap is tight/ or not sealing correctly.

It might be possible to bypass your abs module to check to see if that s the problem.  I have only heard of that being done though and do not know specifics or details.  As far as I know it could be an urban legend.

Good luck

Thanx for your response, I'm just praying its not my ABS Modulator because thats going to cost a bundle.  Its like I keep having the brake system bled and it keeps getting soft after a while so Im gonna guess something is leaking but I ll go take the car to another mechanic again this week, Im gonna pray after spending over $700 and not getting anything fixed really that the next mechanic fixes the problem some how.

PLEASE HELP *** I have a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL and I am having the same problems. I have now, replaced all 4 brake pads, replaced two front rotors, have had the lines bleed, and replaced the master brake cylinder. I still have very soft brakes and it is so dangerous to drive. Sometimes I will roll forward and still have my foot on the break. No mechanic can seem to find out the problem so I don't want to spend more before it becomes thousands of dollars.

I see that you wrote this a month ago.. What did you find out?? Please help! I have spent TONS AND really just want to find out what the problem is.
