I guess Henry Thoreau was a Mercedes driver... "men live lives of quiet desperation"...
I went with the G35...

get the CLK500, youll enjoy it a lot more than the G35. the benz has more 'curb appeal' and is more rare on the roads than the G

Evening all...
I have been shopping! Have my list whittled down to two cars....An Infinity G35 2004 Loaded 37,000KM or The Acura 3.2 TL a 2005 Loaded 44,000KM Both have All the toys, Both are under 30G (the G35 is about 2G more). and both have extended warranties. Both are a good value I believe. How about reliablity?? any Quirks I should know about or typical problems?? Any help would be appreciated Guys!
I just love both of these cars

If you have not made a decision yet. Check with your insurance company. What is the price difference? Drive both cars. Buy the car that you like and get an extended warranty. You will enjoy either.

Clearly, you are confused.
The G35 is a better value for performance, for several reasons: 1. Weight 2. Power 3. Acceleration 4. Handling 5. MANUAL TRANSMISSION
Many of your "points" were based on an individual buying a G35 because they are shallow or narcissistic. The truth is, that is why people buy a Mercedes. The name. Unless you opt for the AMG, you're in it for the looks.
Japanese cars have always been far more reliable than German/Amercian cars. In the past few years, German makes have slipped behind even the Americans.
You have the nerve to mention heal/toe when there is no manual option. Moron.
Lastly, experience. I drove a 2001 CLK430 frequently (a friend of mine owned the car) Solid car. Behind BMW/Audi in fit and finish. Electrical nightmare. My girlfriend drives a G35, its turn key, no problems, although I expect the brake bads to wear out quickly because they have so much stopping power, not because they are cheap.
Get the facts straight.
Leave the fashion out of it - that's for the Paris Hilton, which aquabat clearly idolizes.
Thanks and have a nice day.
