for the past few months my s-10 has been having a misfire.  while driving it will misfire until i get to a high rpm then it will run fine until it shifts.  i have replaced the egr valve and nothing.  plug wires, plugs, coilpacks are all new and still it misfires. But here is what is weird, when i pull a little 10 amp fuse labled as "gauges" out the truck will run fine but the battery will not charge.  I plug it back in and it starts to misfire again.  Any help would be appreciated. thanks

someone told me it may be the crankshaft sensor or the camshaft sensor.  i am tearing into them this weekend to see if that will help

i was trying to find the fuse to my dome light while the truck was running and it just stopped misfiring when i pulled the fuse.  when i plugged it in it started misfiring again.  its gotta be something electric.  i was also told it could be a bad computer but i think it may be a short somewhere.
