Hi,
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer. It was missing so I took it to the dealer. I had driven it for about 6 months. The plug in #4 had a piece of porcelain broken off. They did the plugs.
4 months later, I have the same problem. Not a broken piece, but a crack on two sides which is obviously enough to cause the spark to leak.
What is causing this? Is it too hot? any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks

could possibly be heat, try a colder plug. Hopefully not a warped head or a stretched rod.
