I have a 1996 Honda Accord that will not start. The battery is OK. No dim lights. The fuses are OK. The starter does not even make a sound. What do I check next?

I am having the same problem with my 91 Accord. Starts with a jump, runs fine but will not start on its own. Unhooked the battery cable, waited 5 mins and all lights, cd player have full power. Turn the key everything dies. I wonder if its the main relay? HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

My 1996 Honda Accord sporadically did not start with no sounds (no reving or clicking). I replaced the battery when it was acting up and a jump started it one time. Then it still didn't start on occassion so I replaced the starter. STILL it did not start whenever it felt like it (no time of day or temperature association).
So I just replaced the ignition switch just the other day. If this doesn't fix it, I don't know what will! I recommend starting by replacing the ignition switch because, although it was a little more abrasive, it was the least expensive and seemed to do the trick.

I had a similar problem for my 98 accord. Honda mechanic replaced the ignition switch and the problem is gone. Costed $48 for ignition switch and $150 for labor.
