i'm looking at this car and it is stumbling down low when I hit the gas.  if i nurse the throttle i can get it to begin reving.  If i hit it hard, it just chokes and dies out.  it's opening up and breathing, there is something throwing a code but i have no way of pulling it.  any ideas?

go to autozone. They read codes for free.

Since it's a 93, the zone won't be able to pull a code, but you can do it yourself with a paperclip.

The ALDL connector is located in the passenger compartment and is a 12-pin connector.  Orient the connector so that the chamfered edges are on the bottom, and the release (or tab) is on top.  The top row of terminals are F, E, D, C, B, A - connect A&B with the ignition on and engine NOT running.  The system will enter the diagnostic mode, and the computer will display a code 12 3 times by flashing the "check engine"  or "service engine soon" light.  A code 12 consists of one flash, a short pause, then 2 flashes in rapid succession.  After the code 12 is displayed, any stored trouble codes will be displayed by flashing the  same lights in the same manner.  The trouble code will be flashed 3 times, then the 12 will be flashed again.

You might be able to find the code online, but if you can't, post back, and I'll look it up.

It sounds like a throttle position sensor, btw.
