I have a 1985 Toyota Corolla SR5 Sport. I am having a difficult time smogging. The vacumn system has been checked out extensively. I have an awesome mechanic who feels he's narrowed it down to either the check valve or the car's computer. I'm sure I'm over simplifying the issue. I am researching to find out 1) are the check valve and the car computer year/make/model specific or did other years/make/models use the same part? 2) Is this a common issue with this car and is there an easy/easier fix?
