People. I purchased a 2006 325i new in May 2006. I now have 35.000 miles on the car and have never experienced a problem with the tires or the car. I have Bridgestone Potenza's on it. OEM I might add. with all these problems people are experiencing I am wondering if I should fork out $1450 + tax for a new set? Or am I the exception to the rule.

A month ago i was driving and i hit a pothole that cracked and bent my front left rim. My insurance did not want to cover the expenses. My friend referred me to a shop to get my rim repaired for a cheap price. I went on RepairMyRim.com and talked to their customer service rep and they set me up on getting my rim repaired. Only work i had to do was box the rim and send it to them. 3 days later, the rim was on my door step looking brand new. I took it to the tire shop and had them spin it for me. To my surprise it was spinning like it was brand new! Theses guys are the best rim repair guys ever. Check out their website at RepairMyRim.com. They will be helpful and they will save you hundreds! I am one happy customer

I have a BMW 535i 2011 and was notified that I need 3 new RIMS and Two new tires because the run flat tires had bubbles in it and the RIMS were bent. Note, I hit a deer in the front of my car and it was repaired but told by the repair guy that he did not need to drive the car for a repair hence he is saying nothing happened to his car while in the repair shop.
BMW Dealership Open Road ( previously known as Bell BMW) says the RIMS are bent due to Road Hazards , pot holes. The car only has 15K miles. The dealership representatives keeps telling me it is due to road hazards and if I hit even a small bump the wrong way it can damage the RIM.
I say we call for a BMW Boycott Month so BMW hopefully gets the message. Look for my shout-outs on Facebook for the details of the BMW Boycott Month.

If a BMW RIM can't handle the Northeast roads it should not sell their cars in the North Easat.

I own a 2011 750li. I have had it for approx 1 1/2 year with about 30K. So far I have replaced 3 tire and had 3 rims straightend and one rim replaced. My last visit to bmw service I was informed I needed 4 new rims and 4 new tires. That would be 7 tires and 5 rims in 1 1/2 years.[/bold] My service rep asked me if perhaps my driving habits had changed! 40 years of driving and I don't remember having had ANY rims replaced and probably less than 5 tires over that time. Called customer relations and they said take it up with the tire comapnay and the rim manufactirer. BMW ....never ever again...

Replaced both rear tires of 645ci (2004)with 25,000 miles. The rubber on the inside of rear passenger wheel flew off the rim. Luckily I just passed a BMW dealer while on vacation in Tennessee. The inside of both tires wore bare down to the metal in the tire. The should have been replaced 7,000 miles prior to that. So, just recently, I had the same problem. This time I had to replace the OEM tires at 19,000 miles and they were wore down to the metal on the inside only of the rear tires. The rest of the tire wear is great. Look new. However, these rear tires should have been replaced 7,000 miles ago. Thats 12000 miles of safe wear on a 50,000 mile tire. Whats the deal with BMW?
