Okay, my dad is looking at this used 1998 Mercury Mountaineer. Its in PA and we live in VA. We saw the car on a dealerships webpage. My dad wants to use it to tow his boat. Its got the V8. So its got the HP. Its got a 3.73:1 ratio, so the transmissions good to go. That is all stock on this model Mountaineer. Okay, now the question. On the site listing, it says it comes with the towing package included. Now when he called the dealr, the dealer didnt know much about the vehicle to begin with. When asked about the towing package, all he said is well it comes ready to put a hitch on so yea. Well, i know the main thing the towing package includes is a heavy duty suspension, which we need. My question is when we go up to PA to look at it, how can we tell if its got a towing package on it?? I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks a million.
