I'm almost positive that you have to remove the half shaft and drop the motor about 4-6 inches to get it out and new one in. Have fun.

Okay,
I finally got my alternator off. Thanks for the post. It helped!! I could not figure out why it would not come off until I read your post and found out that, there is a bottom screw, and that I had to take the whole belt attached to it off. Now this is my first time doing this!!! And I am doing it by myself (tiring to become a self-sufficient woman) NOT MALE BASHING or any thing. Just... ANY Way. Should I get a guide to show me how to put the alternator back together? I don’t remember were everything go and you said that "the bolt on the bottom is very tricky to get back together --take your time"!!!! What should I put on first? The bottom bolt of course and the belt. Is there a self-help book for this? I really need help doing this. This is my only car and I cannot afford to have someone else to do it. If you can please help me, I would be very appreciative.
Thanks

With the ignition OFF, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the power steering pump. Remove the cruise control actuator but do not disconnect the actuator cable; simply move the unit out of the way with the cable attached. Unplug the multi-pin electrical connector. Remove the terminal nut and remove the wire from the terminal. Loosen the adjusting bolt; remove the alternator nut.
Alternator mounting on 1990-93 Accords Remove the belt from the alternator pulley. Remove the adjusting bolt, the lower through-bolt and the small support stay. Support the alternator. Remove the upper through-bolt and remove the alternator. If desired, remove the alternator mounting brackets.
