I now have a 2002 Envoy low rider, but just in the rear. The pump motor runs, but the rear does not raise.
It has been raining today, so I have not crawled under to see if there is a rupture in the bags or whatever the Envoy has.
I have been guessing what I might find. 1 Good motor, but bad pump. 2 Good motor good pump, bad fitting or hose. 3 Just a leaking air spring.
2002, 85,000 miles.
Any suggestions?

Take a spray bottle of soapy water with you. You are probably find a hole in the air line.

Stranger than life. I jacked up the envoy, droped the spare tire, fumbled with the lines. Turned on the pump manually. Sprayed the spring, fittings and line with soapy water. I saw no leaks.
Lowered the envoy, and to my delight, it was back to normal. I did not apply a wrench to the fittings, just fondled them.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi i just like to ask how do you turn the pump manually?is it the switch located on the cargo area?because i'm also having the same problem similar to yours but when i turn the compressor on the pump works but the car is still lowered.

do you still have the owners manual in the glove box.???? it will say where the air suspension controls are..
i have not personally worked on that yet....
i am familiar with other air suspension systems.. like the ones on 59 cads...
i will look around for more info...
see if the owners manual is there...

i was looking around for info... i would jack it up and check the lines.. where they plug into the top of the air bags... where they plug into the compressor...

seems the switch and additional fill hose is also up in the box shown.. and it's inside the rear fender..
be sure to open the image in a new window.. so you can see the whole thing...

I have just started having problems with the rear suspension. The back end goes down so low that it looks like it is resting on the rear tires. However, when I start the envoy, it raises back to a normal level. I took it to dealership and not only did they not find a problem, it did not lower when they had it. Frist night I had it back, it went down by morning. It,has been really hot here. So o was wondering if anyone was having the same problem and if it might be related to heat.

you have a leaking air bag. a leaking solenoid valve, a leaking hose.. a leaking air compressor...
soapy water.. or bubble soap sprayed on everything with a squirt bottle will find the tiny leaks..
