My 2000 Wrangler has been having a problem with the blower.  The a/c, heat control will work sometimes and sometimes do nothing.  When it works I can adjust the controls fine but when it's not working you can't control anything.  When not working with the heat on, heat will seep out and eventually heat up the vehicle but there's no control on speed, location, or how hot.  This has been a graual problem.  At the start it would rarely quit working but come right back on. Now it rarely works.  I don't know if a new resistor would solve the problem or not.  Any help would be great.  Thanks in advance.

I have had this problem about 3 times on my wrangler, every time it is the blower control switch.  It appears the blower switch is underarated for the current that the blower pulls.  Also on the airflow selector switch , the one on the far right, there is a connection that goes bad on the back of it as well and could cause the same problem. I finally just removed connector and soldered mine directly to the switch itself.  This blower motor has 2 wires on it, which means it is not grounded at the point of connection.  The blower switch actually grounds the motor through the switch itself and the resistors for the speed control.  The only 12 Volt + power comes from a relay right behind the glove box that activates when you turn the ignition switch on.  So in other words, the blower always has 12 volts + on it if the relay is working and the ground side is the speed control through the switch.  Hope this helps.........TLC
