I am needing ANY advice. I don't know if there is anything I could do to how decieved I feel from our car buying experience..please help!

I recently bought 2 cars from 1 a local Chevrolet dealership.  I financed 1 car through the dealership and on the 2nd car we already had financing through Citifincial. At closing, we wrote our check to the dealership that was from Citifincial and the fiance manager drew up paperwork stating Citifinancial was the lein holder and had us sign.

When it is almost time for our 1st payment on both vehicles, we recieve paperwork from another lender stating they are the lein holder. The interest rate and payment are the same.

Is there anything I can do about this???  I do not think it was fair that my husband and I recieved financing prior to going to buy a vehicle and then the dealership just turned around and ran our credit anyway and financed us through someone else.  In my opinion, the dealership just went behind our backs and financed us through them just to benefit themselves.

I have spoken to 2 seperate managers and neither will return my calls.  Can this be a legal issue?

It would be nice to get some feedback from someone who works at a dealership and knows a little more of what goes on with the paperwork etc.

Thanks.

If that is what happened then yes, you do have a legitimate complaint.  But if you did finance one fo the vehicles with the dealer, then they already had you permission to pull your credit history.  Also, make sure that citifinancial did not sell the loan.  That can sometimes happen.  If you gave them a citifinancial check, you need to find what they did with it.  Also, did you sign a finance contract?  If you did not sign one then you do not have a loan with anyone else but Citi.  Look at your paperwork.  If you signed a finance contract then you did finance with someone else.  If you gave them a check from citi, you should not have had to sign a contract with the dealer.

You can always refinance the loan with citifinancial at no penalty to you, but the dealer will get a "chargeback"  You do not have to worry about that.

Very interesting.  We did finance 1 car through the dealership.  For the other car we did write them a check from CITI and the manager had us sign paperwork but on all the paperwork it states CITI is the lein holder. Very sneaky! I have called CITI multiple times and they stated the check was never cashed.

We should have never signed a contact even if it stated CITI auto.  But we did not know.

I guess we are just out of luck!

Dealers get paid for sending lenders loans.  They recieve wholesale interest rates and then charge 1-3% over that.  The dealer makes a profit from this.  If you bring them a check, they make nothing.  There is more profit in finance than there is in the actual sale of the vehicle.  I would call CITI and ask for a supervisor.  Tell them exactly what happened.  That is against the dealer agreement that they have with the Dealership and needs to be pointed out.  Better yet, Tell the dealership that you are going to do that, unless they give you something in return for their dishonesty.  Dealers like this give us all a bad name and should not be like this.  As a finance manager, I would have offered you a better rate or something and let you know why.  That way you would have recieved a benefit from what they did also.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!
I BOUGHT A NEW 06 MATRIX, WHICH I LOVE, PLUS THE BEST MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT OFFERED BECAUSE I WANTED TO TAKE CARE OF IT.  THE "MAINTENANCE REQUIRED" LIGHT CAME ON AND MY HUSBAND TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER TO GET IT FIXED.  HE SAID THERE WAS NO RECORD THAT WE PURCHASED THE AGREEMENT.  UPON CHECKING OUR CONTRACT HE FOUND THAT, WE INDEED DID PURCAHSE THE AGREEMENT.  HE SAID THAT HE WOULD CHECK INTO THE PROBLEM AND CALL US BACK.  WE HAVE RECEIVE NO PHONE CALLS.  WHEN WE CALL, THEY NEVER RETURN THE CALLS.  NOW MY "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT IS ON.  I AM GOING TO BE STRANDED AND/OR MY NEW CAR IS GOING TO TEAR-UP.  I AM FRUSTRATED.  WHAT SHOULD I DO?  I THINK I NEED A LAWYER AND THAT IS MY NEXT STEP.  WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

You should be able to go into the service department with the contract that shows that you bought the maintenance agreement and show it to them.  If they have any questions, they will know who to get a hold of.  If you are standing there face to face they will have to respond to you.  Take the car in for the service engine soon light as soon as you can though.  This will give you time to talk to them about the maint. agreement.  If it is on the contract, you should have no problem.

Look this is absolutely not fair from your dealer. Here you can lodge a complaint but this will involve you in unnecessary legal issues. I feel if the interest and payment amount are same then you should not make such an issue. And you should seek some professional advice on this.
