My 1999 Dodge Ram , 3.9L, Automatic. When Driving, Usually When In OD, My Engine Will Sputter For A Moment. It Might Happen Once Or A Dozen Times In A 35 Minute Ride. My Engine Code Is P0107(map/bara Circuit Low Voltage) Also, My Speedometer Will Not Show Any Speed Until I Reach About 55 Mph. Then It Will Read Normal. I Have An Abs And A Brake Light On All The Time. I Have Replaced The Speed Sensor, Made No Difference. The Speedometer Problem Has Been There For A While, The Sputtering Has Just Started. Any Help Would Be Appreciated.
Thanks,
Terry

I had the same problem with the speedometer, abs lite, brake lite and check engine lite. The problem is a 2nd speed sensor located back on the real axel. I had it replaced and all went back to normal. Yours might be just unpluged. Mine had gone bad. Good luck.

if you got the rear wheel antilock brake then its the sensor (top of rear differential)that's causing the malfunctions

I stumbled across this thread & forum googling descriptions of the exact same problem. Actually, I could not describe it better than Terry. Anyway, thank you upstatenybob and jippadyak for the info. I bought the sensor at the dealer for 38.00. Install took about half hour total and alls well. Speedo works, no brake lights on and no more stalling at stops. Hope I can help someone here in return someday. Don't hold your breath though. Hell, I was looking for a cable on the trans when the speedo stopped, so I've got a lot to learn!!! Thanks again, Ron J.

possibly a defective map sensor, and as far as the speedometer issue it is more than likley the sensor in your rear differential that controls gauge and abs. Just had the problem in my truck..
