Low rad fluid dash light

My low rad fluid dash light comes on from time to time but there is fluid in the overflow container and the engine temperature gauge never goes over a quarter. It will come on at no particular time and stay on for awhile and then go out for sometime and then come back on for a short time. I don't know what to check or how to find what I'm supposed to check.

Sounds like the fluid level sensor in the tank. But then again I am just guessing without knowing what type of car or the year!

More then likely you have a small leak and you are just at the point of having the light come on. Check the intake gaskets.

Just thought I would let you know that I haven't been able to source the exact location of the leak but I did put in one can of Bars Leak and no more light and no low coolant levels. Life is good

Thanks very much for your response.
