The amber warning light for the Engine Failsafe Mode has started flashing a couple of times for no apparent reason. The car seems okay and I am reluctant to take it to a Jaguar dealer as its seems okay. Has anyone experienced this issue and what have been the consequences?. The car has done just over 76,000 miles.

Hi Phil,
Sorry I cant offer any assistance I'm actually experiencing the same problem and wondered if you had found a solution to it yet? Mine has done 36,000 miles and like yours has nothing apparent wrong with it. Frustrating eh??

When the light is amber you can drive it for a while. When it goes to red the car will soon start shutting down on you. It happened to me already. Go to autozone right away and get the codes read. I had the same problem with my s-type. It's in the shop now for this.
