Engine warning light came on, problem diagnosed as intermittantly slipping torque converter. 800 to repair converter alone, or 1,800 to add trans. rebuild. 115,000 miles on engine/trans. Seems to be shifting fine and fuel economy seems normal. Warning light is now off, following diagnosis. Question: Do I fix the converter? Go for the whole show? Wait to see if the light comes back on or some other recognizable symptoms manifest themselves? Any suggestions or advice most welcome. Thanks, Rob

That is a common issue on those 604 transmissions in the caravans...as long as the trans has been well maintained and the CVIs all show normal then i would just replace the converter.
