who has had this problem and how did you resolve this i recently had this happen to my 5.4 van and am waiting for tools to install insert just wanting to know how others have made out

Don't know much about the Titon. But check make sure you have proper spark plum with same pitch of thread. Also check to see if might have pulled the thread out of block. Compare old plug's to new plugs for thread and depth.

According to the Consumer Reports website this is a very wide spread problem. My son called me and told me that his 2000 F-150 and had spit out a spark plug. I did some research and talked to my mechanic.
The problem is that reporting it to Consumer Reports is all fine and good but the agency that needs to be notified is the NHTSA. This is the agency that is responsible for making the manufacturers issue recalls.
I checked their website and only found one report of this problem. I only looked at the first 50 complaints that covered all problems that Ford F-150 owners are having.
