I've got an '88 Pontiac 6000. I was driving one day and I suddenly lost all power, then it quit. I tried to restart it, and it seemed like the battery was dead. I replaced the battery, and started it, only to have it stall 10 minnutes later.
I've checked for spark only to find none. When it stalled the first time, my tach (which is digital) went all crazy. I'm all out of ideas except for checking the coil pack.(which im doing tomorrow) Any help would be nice.

is the alternator working properly?
