I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4x4. I won't shift from 2nd to 3rd gear until the truck has warmed up. I have to drive 20mph for about 10 minutes before it will shift out. After it has been drove for awhile, it shifts fine. What could be the problem?

Have you checked the fluid level and condition, is there a check engine light on

The Dodge trucks seem to have a problem with a seal in the front clutch drum leaking pressure. It is common to lose 3rd and to have to rev the engine to get reverse.
