I purchased a Commander about 3 weeks ago.
I love the heck out of it...the only thing i've noticed is- almost everynight i get flashed by other cars because they think i have my brights on.  Is there anything i can do to avoid this?
Maybe different lights?  

Any insight?

I have had the exact same issue except I am now getting more than just flashed by other cars.   Did you ever hear back on your posting?  

take your vehicle back to the dealer and have them adjust your headlights lower
