The interior cabin lights suddenly will not turn off. Always used to work ok. Thought it might be prob with the manual switch which is on the main lighting switch, but cant find a way of even getting to that. There must be a device somewhere which controls the interior lights, because it has a timer and auto dim function, so maybe that has failed, but, where is it ? Help !!

Have you checked the door pin switches....little switches in the door jams. They can become bent,or some have a plastic tip on them witch can break and leave the lights on. Try pushing them in one at a time and see if the lights go off.
*** Don't forget the tailgate too..I've seen them get out of adjustment by slamming the gate too hard.

Thanks Jeep God for your advice, but thats not the problem, just need to locate the relay that controls interior lights, also where is the door switch for the tail gate. I am an electrician but cars do seem to beat me.

I think the light switch is on the tail gate latch its self.May have to remove the plastic trim panel to get to it.
