help i have a 97 neon it has no power what so ever when you push the gas pedel to the floor it takes for ever to get up to speed. it hardly makes it up steep hills. another thing it does when your driveing down the road and push the gas pedel to the floor to pass another car the transmission pops out of gear. oh yes its an automatic. forgot to tell you that.could it be the linkage? its got me stumped.

Ahhh,
I learned this from a mechanic who inspected my car.....
Those are symptoms of a TCC solenoid malfunction, or torque converter failure. My car has none of these problems, yet shows a code for it.
If your engine light is on, you need to have the TCC circuit checked, before you cause severe damage to your trans. I hope it is the problem. Unfortunately, my car runs fine yet they tell me I need a transmission.
