Hello, I just bought a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT and do not have the owners manuel.  What type of gas should i be putting in it for optimum performance?  Regular ok?  Thanks

Regular should be OK. Unless otherwise noted on the filler cap or in the Filler well that the cap is in.

for optimum performance use premium...higher octane=higher cumbustion temps...premium has better detergents to keep for fuel system cleaner...get slightly better fuel economy...but it does cost more...it will run just fine on the regular stuff
