Our mini trip computer which shows compass direction, temperature and various trip reference items has suddenly stopped working - might it be a crack in the windshield? We are not sure where the sensors are? Cannot find a reference in the repair manual. Any help would be appreciated.

My 2002 has the same issue. Dealer tested unit has an "internal" short which is Its broke and a new one is $552. I just found one on e-bay $40.06 from a salvaged jeep.
