I am used to Toyotas and Subarus, but am looking at a used minivan for added space. The Aerostar I'm considering has 147,000 miles on it. If it were a Toyota or Subaru, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it because I know their engines can run for MANY more miles than this! But, I know nothing about a '95 Ford Aerostar XLT's mileage capabilities. I'd love advice from someone with first-hand experience. THANKS!

I have a 98 Windstar GL. Gas mileage is mid 20s. Pretty good for the size of the vehicle. Downside is that it has the typical head gasket leak problem and now has catastrophic transmission failure. It has only 54K miles. These vans have a bad reputation from what I have read online from other owners.
