Does this appeal to... anyone? Spending $327,750 (or $377,750 for the "62") on a slower, more ponderous car that uses the platform, engine, and controls as a $125,000 Mercedes S-class (while looking EXACTLY THE SAME) but instead of having the famous, respected "Mercedes" badge on the back, has an anonymous name that, even when you pronounce it right, sounds like a washing machine?

Seems like all this car accomplishes is annoying S-class owners by slamming their car to second-most expensive status. Not a good PR move.

Well, people who have enough money to buy that car, and are willing to spend the money probably don't know crap about what the real platform it's on or that it's the same as an S class. I think the people who are in the market for this car are people who have so much money they are just looking for something unique, and even if it's just the name and a bit different of a look, that stuff can only be bought with twice the cost. I think I heard somewhere that opera bought this car for stevie wonder? the show was all bagging about how he couldn't really see or drive the car, why buy such an expensive car? because she freaking rents islands all to her self for her vacations.
