I work for a company that rebuilds engines. Every diesel engine we build gets run on a dynamometer before it leaves the plant. We are currently trying to run 2.7L diesel engine from a 2002 Dodge Sprinter. It is an OM612 Mercedes 2.7L engine. We've not been able to get the engine to run, though. We think our problem is with the theft deterrent system. We've struggled with this problem for several months now, and I was wondering if anyone has ever delt with a theft deterrent package on the dyno, and how they did it. We've tried taking all the instruments from the vehicle and hooking them to the engine on the stand, but we still can't get it to work. Is there a way to by-pass or over-ride the theft deterrent? We've tried Mercedes/Dodge, who was no help. I also contacted the company that made the ECU, but they couldn't help either. If anyone has any info or can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

The Sprinter uses sentry key system...I dont think there is way to dyno these...You need the full buss network functioning in order for the VTSS to allow the vehicle to start
