Hi, I Fig. there must be a relay or something that must be tripped in order to start the jeep. Is it this interlock thing I read about? Where is it located and how do I replace it?
Thanks

My jeep has done the same thing for about 6 years now, I am just too lazy to fix it... Anyways, I was told by a mecanic it is a sensor in the shifter? But I could be wrong... It acts up more in winter than in summer, so maybe my lazy butt needs to get around to fixing it...

The shifter is the subject of a recall. Enter your vin number here to check if your vehicle was done.

The neutral safety switch mounted on the passenger side of the transmission. You can find instructions on the internet to remove and clean. A new one is about $300 at the dealer. A very common failure of older jeeps.
