A Rolls-Royce coupe concept bows at Geneva. Two years ago, Rolls-Royce unveiled the 100EX convertible concept, and it wowed the crowds in Geneva. Since then, Rolls has confirmed that it will, indeed, build a production convertible based on the 100EX, and we expected to see that car at this year's Swiss show. Instead, Rolls surprised show attendees with yet another concept, the 101EX, which is a coupe version of the 100EX convertible.
Like the 2004 concept, the 101EX is built using the same aluminum spaceframe construction as the Phantom limousine and is powered by the Phantom's 6.75-liter V-12 engine. It also shares the 100EX's stunning, machined-aluminum hood, which links the A-pillars, windshield header, and traditional Rolls grille into one incredibly solid mass of metal. The coupe's doors are hinged at the rear so that, as Rolls says, "the driver and passengers step in rather than fall in backwards, as demanded in a conventional two-door coupe."
link to pics. Man I wish we could post pics. It will happen soon.

I remember it. Way too big to be a coupe. Worse, it's not very memorable.

Unattractive front and this is one of those cars you can tell it is really heavy before you even get to drive it.

Hideous car, but you'll see it somewhere on PCH.

I'm not as ambivalent towards this auto. It's a Rolls-Royce, so it cannot look like what most consider a normal coupe, and inevitably it is polarizing in design. There is no doubt this car will carry more power than a locomotive but, obviously, it is not meant for the track, so thus its extensive weight is justifiable.

I think the new Rolls Royce coupe looks awesome. I just saw an article on a auto news site and it had said the rolls royce is actually already sold out for next year. I can't believe how popular this car has become and I think it's great. This car is unbelievable and keeps getting better I can't wait to see the new coupe in person.
