Hello. I'm working on a progect that requires me to cut up some old tires. I've cut steel belted radials, but it's a stone cold *** and I don't trust my saw at the job. So I'm asking, can I find tires WITHOUT a steel belt, and if so, how do I recognise them?
(Oh, my progect is to build a dummy to strike at for historical swordsmanship. Google Western Martial Arts or Historical European Martial Arts if you are curious on the subject.)

radial tires have an R in the tire size. 225-45R-17
you are going to have trouble finding bias-ply tires anymore. you could probably get new ones from www.cokertire.com but I imagine they will be pretty expensive.

Grey saber There are lots of tires for that purpose. All farm tires are still cord belted and should be available at a large tire dealer who services the agricultural area. And you should be able to get some damaged for free
