Hi, I currently own a 1991 pontiac 6000LE and plan on turning it into a sleeper.  I hardly know anything about cars and am wondering what would be the best bang for my buck route to take for adding on hp.  My friend mentioned different options, like turbo or supercharger as well as exhaust.  Also said getting a computer chip might not be a bad idea.  I plan on spending $1000 at the moment.  Keeping this in mind what would you suggest?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
