Audi TT & MPG Caps

I have 2001 180bhp TT. Has 69k miles. recently tempted by the potential fuel savings that MPG Caps purportedly offer. I have put through 8 tanks of petrol using FFI recommended dosage of caps and it has not made the slightest bit of difference.
Am I alone in this? Should I persevere or give up?

Really??
Why am I alone amongst my peers when it comes to fuel saving, or are they all kidding themselves?
What do you mean by snake oil?
cheers Dan

hahaha just found out what is meant by snake oil (not a british term)

"Snake oil." The expression has come to be synonymous with a quack remedy. But questions about the origins of the term provide the basis for an interesting investigation.

Still like to know if people are genuinely fuel savings with these caps though.

Hey, just a quick response to your question, and the ongoing debate.

I have fielded many calls by customers and distributors alike who have not gotten results, gotten temporary results and lost them, and even had their cars run poorly after using the MPG CAPS.

In almost every case if they followed my directions that are based an independent reserch firm out of Texas, they have gotten results.

I'm concuring with Mr. Lang from Texas, that with newer vehicles, you will need much less of the product to be very affective. If you have followed the package directions of a 2X dose for the first 2 fill ups per 12-22 gallons then you are using too much (unless your car does not have an oxygen sensor).

Quit the use of MPG CAPS for 3 tanks, and start back with a dosage use of 1 per 30 gallons, or 1/2 per 20 gallons or less. This not a one-size-fits-all product.

I personally have been involved with the company from the begining, and when we first started, the inventor (Jack) had not given us these directions, so we just used 1 per 20 gallons or more, and I've always had very good results, 19.4% to be exact. I've consistantly used 1/2 caplet per fillup (14-15 gallons). By the way, the way I checked my mileage: I had a running record of my average MPG for more then one year, and I wasn't keeping this record because I knew that the MPG CAPS would be available, because I did not know. That average in my 1999 Buick Park Ave. Ultra, was 19.5 MPG (I drive heavy, who can't put their foot in the intake with a surper charger?). When I started using the MPG CAPS I reset my mileage log to 0, and started over. I then kept an 8 month running record of the average MPG with the Caps. My mileage went to 23.3 MPG.

To say that we have gotten results on all vehicles is simply not true. I have personally communicated with engineers, and combustion researchers to figure out why some people get results, and some don't. What they have found and I agree is that as long as the inventor sticks to his doses recommendations for vehicle from the mid to late 70's, we will continue to get poor results.

If any of anyone out there has seen the NBC story on the MPG CAPS, you may find it interesting that before that story was done, I got a call from Bill asking me what he should tell these folks for dosage. Bill knew that I was very involved in researching this overdosing issue. My response to him was, "just make sure they do not double dose, and use not more then 1 per 20 gallons". Check it out for your self guys, we did not pay them to do this story, we just told them how to use it, and they followed our instructions.

Here's a link to that story: http://www.todaystmj4.com/_content/news/topstories/story_3977.asp

Oh, by the way, has anyone out there debating this issue ever heard of everybody getting the same results from any one pharmaceutical drug from your Doctor? DUH!! Does this mean he is selling snake oil?

Listen if you want to know the truth, call me.

P.S. this is my personal phone line, please respect it as such. I don't debate, people are all entitle to there own ideas. If some tells me they didn't get results from the MPG CAPS, I believe them, and in most cases, I understand why.

Thanks Duane, I will follow your instructions as mentioned.
I understand that FFI are producing a half size caplet now which will help ***
I have also bought into the distibutor thing with FFI but as I have had zero results from the product I have not pushed it. Are u also a distributor?

Hi Dan, Yes I am a distributor. I just care that people both speak and know the truth. If the product did not work, I wouldn't sell it! And if people do not get results, they should be truthful about it regardless if they are distributors or not.

Call me if you like.

By the way... Mr Lang, just released the new protocol that will be recommended to the whole company shortly. Here it is:

.04 X Gallons pumped. For example, .04 X 14 gallons, equals .56, or 1/2 caplet.
