Thanks Nick. Sorry what does DTC mean? I'm new here! And where would I find the control?

Diagnostic Trouble Code. If your vehicle is '96 or newer you can use
an OBD II {on board diagnostics} code reader to retrieve and erase these codes from your vehicles computer. The DLC {Data Link Connector} is located approximately 12" left of the steering wheel under the dash on most vehicles. You plug in the reader to the 16 pin DLC to retrieve codes.Basic code readers cost anywhere from $ 70-100 at major auto retailers. You can also see if Auto Zone or Checker Auto will check your codes for you for free.

This will not be a generic OBD2 code it will be in the ABS/Traction control module....this will take an expensive scan tool

When the light turned grenn, I left my foot off the gas pedal. I had the message "Traction fail, Stability fail, FailSafe Engine Mode" The car moved slowly and was unbale to pick up gas. I turned the engine off and crancked it back agian. Then I had the message "ASC".
Does somebody know what these messages are about. Can somebody tell me how to fix it?
