2003 with 5.3L won't start in the morning if I run it under 1/4 tank of gas the night before. I add 3 gals (or so) of gas in the morning and she fires right up. Does this whether there is 1 gal or 4 gals left in the tank. Over 5 gals and there's no problem. A sensor or the sending unit in the tank is my guess. Anyone heard of this?

There is a recall for your gast tank/ sending unit wireing harness.  I dont know if your problem is necessarily related but its worth taking a look at.

A bad sensor in your sending unit should keep your car from starting.
