Well, muscle car fans can cautiously rejoice. DaimlerChrysler (DCX) looks like it'll be building the Challenger concept first seen at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, earlier this year.
However, if you're lookin' for a Mustang competitor, looks like you're going to have to save a few more pennies. The Challenger's going to be a V-8 and priced higher that Ford's muscle pony. According to Automotive News, Challenger buyers won't be affected by price either for the vehicle or gas.
I don't know. Yeah, nostalgia pulls the heart-strings but money's gettin' tight. What do you think? Would you buy the Challenger when it comes out even if it's priced about the Mustang by, say, in the low-to-mid-thirties price range? And don't forget the cost of gas. The Challenger most likely will use premium.
