I just recently got the EMPI 32/63 electric choke carburator for my 1989 Wrangler 4.2 L, I am stumped becuase my old carb had now fuel regulator but the new carb came with one, and also all of my vacuum lines have no place with the new carb. Should I cap off all the vacuum lines? Should i eliminate the fuel filter( cap of the return) and install the fuel regulator in it place?

i just installed one on my 87 wrangler. it runs like crap with the regulator in, but with out it, gets super bad gas mileage and smokes likes crazy. i capped all my vacum lines and left my fuel return in., let me know if you've got any answers that could help me out.

I am having trouble with my EMPI 32/36 carb. It keeps fowling up my plugs. I am using the regulator and it is set up to what the instructions say. The idle needle is set to the sweet spot and runs worse when i lean it out even more. the only vacuum line i am using goes to the distrubutor and that isnt a problem. People are telling me to re-jet the carb or even check the catalitic converter to see if it is restricting the flow. what does everyone else think

i talked to the empi tech and he said I probably screwed up the needle valve cuz I ran it with out the regulator. so now i need to replace the needle valve. does anyone know what to look for if its bad?
