My '93 Grand Cherokee V-8 Limited (74M miles) starts great but seems to intermittantly "miss" or "chug" while driving at a constant speed. It happens during acceleration as well. This started to happen immediately after I had the fuel pump replaced, which is the only thing I've ever had to do other than oil/tire replacement. I'm not a real car guy, so it would be easy for me to get taken by a mechanic. I am willing to do the replacement work myself if I knew where to start and what to do. Does this sound like a problem that an average guy can fix?
my buddy has the exact same jeep, and had the exact same problems, and has had to change his fuel pump and filte a few times!! He was told 1. not to run cheap gas 2. do not let the gas get below 1/4 of a tank.... reason? trash build up from gas around the fuel filter (might change the fuel filter out)
