Hi,
I'd appreciate any advice on the current problem with my CR-V. The car idles weakly and sometimes stalls on cold start-ups and low rpms. I just noticed yesterday that their seems to be some faint white smoke coming out of the exhaust and a strong smell. I've replaced the plugs, cap and rotor, and the pcv valve.
Vacuum leak? Fuel problem? Any help would be appreciated in diagnosis, testing and repair. I'm a student that is rich on time but poor on cash.
Thanks.

You can go to most auto parts stores and have them hook up a diagnosis tool - this may help identify the problem. My '97 was misfiring. I did all the things you did - did not help. Then I tried 'Sea Foam' carb cleaner and WOW what an improvement - solved my misfire. It cleans the fuel injectors - sounds like this could be your problem. I fed it directly into the manifold - see directions on can. Good luck.
