The windshield wiper unit on my 1997 Lincoln Town Car is two speed, multible interval. The motor works fine, however, it will not return the wipers to the normal bottom position (under the top of the hood) upon turning off. This position is a few inches below the normal operating range of the wipers when turned on. Any ideas?

could be a few things, one the park mechanism is regulated inside the motor...if you are sure the the arms have not moved on the splines then replace the motor.
