Here's an interesting story I found online - seems automakers are finally taking themselves to task with automobile safety in terms of accidents. Using "smart technology," automakers are working not to just lower the number of vehicle accidents, but according to this article, they are striving to eliminate accidents all together with the use of roadside intelligence and on-board sensing. I don't like it. Too much big brother control in the name of safety.

I was definitely intrigued till they dropped the "GPS" note. They're starting to treat hardware like they do software these days, download this media player, nevermind the internet toolbar and 100 other spyware it drops along the way.
