Thats what a major car company needs to do is make an old school car with all the tech and gadgets of the current day. Remdinds me of a Tucker. That car would be SICK ( meaning cool to all you old timers ) with current technology.

Nissan S15 Silvia

without a doubt, it would have had a huge impact on the tuner industry.  affordable, rear wheel drive, factory turbocharged, gorgeous looks, tons of tuner parts (in japan and for older us versions).

then there is the toyota chaser, rwd turbo sedan.  the spec C wrx, lancer evo wagon, forester STi, legacy STi, 98 toyota MR2...

umm I can go on forever.  but if i had to pick one, it would be the S15 silvia. im just in love with them.

yeah appearently they spent 1.5 million to build the car, thats alot of money, although maybe thats australian dollars so it's really like 100,000 dollars
