I have a 1989 F-350 with the 7.3L Diesel.
I want to know if i should up the oil thickness, even though in the manual it says 10W-30. I do not want to go synthetic. Last time I got my oil changed the tech insisted that I make my oil thicker, but I kept it the same thickness.
Also, I just had it taken to a Ford dealer for repairs, and had low fuel pressure. They said that, because I had new fuel injectors, the low fuel pressure could have scored the injectors. Previously one of my fuel lines was leaky, but that was only due to overtightening, and it broke. Now, a different one of my new injectors is leaking fuel. The fuel is coming out from where the injector threads into the engine block. It doesn't seem too bad, but after about 30 mins of driving, it creates a pool on top of the manifold..and I know this is a hazard. Any ideas? Is my injector "scored"? This injector was replaced earlier than the other injectors, due to individual problems.
