Hey do you think an '01 Acura TL in excellent condition(other than the 170,000 miles) is worth $5000. Kellys Blue Book rated it at about $9500. If so, give me some pointers on what to have checked out before purchasing? I really appreciate it! Gave wrong type in subject.

i would be a little weary about a car with that many miles in such a short time period. a quick calculation shos thats about 34,000 a year, that is a huge number and if the car wasn't maintaned properly could lead to huge problems.

I agree with Burtrey0lds. Over here in SoCal, average is between 15k to 20k miles per year. This Acura has nearly twice that many. If you're still intersted, I'd strongly suggest you get the vehicle checked out by a reputable shop.
